I, Sarah Palin, Governor of the State of Alaska, under the authority of art. III, secs. 1 and 24, of the Alaska Constitution, and AS 44.17.060 and 44.17.070, issue the following findings and order
Findings
On January 22, 2003, the Department of Corrections (department) was reorganized by Administrative Order No. 207. The department has found that the reorganization specified in that Order no longer reflects effective and efficient management.
In order to provide the flexibility necessary for the department to reorganize to meet its current management needs, Administrative Order No. 207 needs to be revoked. Through the revocation, the department may then use existing law and management strategies to reorganize in order to respond to its changing management needs.
Order
Administrative Order No. 207 is revoked.
This Order takes effect immediately.
