I, Bill Walker, Governor of the State of Alaska, under the authority of Article III, Sections 1 and 24 of the Constitution of the State of Alaska, revoke Administrative Order No. 271 only as to the Alaska Stand Alone Pipeline Project (Alaska Gasline Development Corporation).
Purpose
With the extensive drop in market oil prices contributing to a large budget deficit, there is a need to take immediate and responsible action to ensure the State remains in a healthy fiscal position. Consequently, as a state, we must prioritize large capital projects based on need, overall cost, and the greatest benefit for all Alaskans.
As part of this action, at this time, I am revoking Administrative Order No. 271 only as relates to the Alaska Stand Alone Pipeline Project (Alaska Gasline Development Corporation). Accordingly, the Alaska Gasline Development Corporation shall proceed within existing and future appropriations to progress work on the Alaska Stand Alone Pipeline Project to maximize the work performed that may jointly benefit the Alaska Stand Alone Pipeline Project and the Alaska liquefied natural gas project.
Order
Under the authority of Article III, Sections 1 and 24 of the Constitution of the State of Alaska, I order that the Alaska Gasline Development Corporation continue to expend existing appropriations, including federal funds, if any, as needed to satisfy current obligations and to perform project work associated with the Alaska Stand Alone Pipeline Project, including work that may be mutually beneficial to both the Alaska Stand Alone Pipeline Project and the Alaska liquefied natural gas project.
Other Provisions
This order takes effect immediately.
Dated at Juneau, Alaska, this 15th day of May, 2015
/s/Bill Walker
Governor
