Since the name “Alaska Disaster Office” more appropriately defines duties of the agency presently known as the “Division of Civil Defense” in the Department of Public Safety, I hereby change the name “Division of Civil Defense” in the Department of Public Safety to “Alaska Disaster Office.” This action is taken pursuant to Article III, Section 24 of Alaska’s Constitution and AS 44.17.070.
