Function: The board advises and assists departmental preparation of certification exams and application reviews; develops regulations governing water and wastewater operator certification and system classification; and serves as a semi-final authority in settling disputes between operators and the department.
Special facts: Members of the board serve at the pleasure of the Governor.
Compensation: Standard Travel and Per Diem No additional compensation.
Meetings: 1-2 times per year; 2-3 days maximum. Generally meets once in the spring and once in the fall.
