Governor Dunleavy Remembers Rep. Jamie Fisher

November 30, 2020 (Anchorage, AK)Alaska Governor Mike Dunleavy and First Lady Rose Dunleavy issued the following statement on the passing of former Alaska State Representative James ‘Jamie’ Fisher, a member of the First Alaska State Legislature from 1959-1960.

“Jamie was a man of selfless service – a Marine in World War II, a member of the U.S. Army Corps. of Engineers in the Korean War, a Representative in the First Alaska State Legislature, and a lawyer in the Kenai Peninsula – whose legacy will live beyond his death,” said Governor Dunleavy. “Rose and I extend our condolences to the Fisher family as they honor his memory.”

Governor Dunleavy has ordered that Alaska state flags fly at half-staff on Tuesday, December 1, 2020 in honor of Representative Fisher.
