May 12, 2020

(Anchorage, AK) – The Dunleavy Administration has begun the process of distributing an additional $870 million of CARES Act funds to communities, small businesses, and non-profits statewide to mitigate the economic impact caused by COVID-19 following action by the Legislative Budget and Audit Committee last night.

“I would like to thank the Alaska Legislature for acting yesterday evening to approve the distribution of over $1 billion to communities, businesses, non-profits, and individuals impacted by the economic hardships caused by COVID 19. This is an extraordinary time in our state and my team worked expeditiously to get these critical relief funds disbursed,” said Governor Mike Dunleavy.
