Prohibitions: A member of the board may not be an employee of the state in another capacity nor may a member of the OSHA Review Board be a member or officer of another board or commission for which compensation other than per diem and travel expenses is paid.

Description: The board consists of 3 members appointed by Governor: 1 labor representative, 1 industry representative (each with adequate experience in field), and 1 public member. The Governor designates the board chair (1 year term).
Function: The board works to ensure the protection of life, health, and safety of employees and hears appeals of citations issued by department.
Special facts: This board serves in a quasi-judicial capacity. Members may be removed for inefficiency, neglect of duty, or malfeasance in office. The Attorney General serves as legal counsel.
Compensation: Standard Travel and Per Diem Receive honorarium of $50 per day.
Meetings: 4 times per year or as necessary, 15 days maximum. Generally, the hearings for the following year are set in the previous fall. Call administrator for more specific information.
