2012 Legislative Priorities

Alaskans can expect their government to be lean and efficient while creating growth opportunities for residents across our great state. This year, our administration’s legislative priorities focus on future savings and investing in five key areas:

  • Resource Development / Energy
  • Public Safety
  • Education
  • Transportation / Infrastructure
  • Military Support

These 2012 legislative priorities are grounded in the vision established by our Statehood founders in the Alaska Constitution, which clearly guides how Alaska will build an economy and govern itself.

Read more about my proposed legislation as the second session of the 27th Alaska Legislature convenes, deliberates, and acts over the 90-day session. Alaskans from Barrow to Ketchikan may check back here regularly to see how our legislation progresses.
