Anchorage
The Anchorage “Alaskans Choose Respect” march commenced at the Delaney Park Strip at noon on March 31. Attorney General Dan Sullivan and U.S. Senator Lisa Murkowski led the march from the park strip to a rally at Town Square Park.
Barrow
The Barrow “Alaskans Choose Respect” rally commenced at the Kiita Alternative High School on March 31. Some of the homes and businesses displayed a lit candle in the window in honor of the Governor’s Choose Respect initiative.
Bethel
Tundra Women’s Coalition, in cooperation with the Kuskokwim Campus of UAF, planned a march and child abuse walk on March 31. The march started at TWC and ended at the Kuskokwim Campus with a community potluck.
Cordova
Cordova Family Resource Center staff with the Native Village of Eyak participated in a march on March 31 with community leaders down Main Street in Cordova.
Craig
HOPE hosted a Choose Respect march and rally in the community of Craig at noon on March 31. The march commenced at HOPE headquarters and concluded with speakers and a community rally at City Hall.

Dillingham
The Dillingham “Alaskans Choose Respect” Let the Light Shine In event commenced with a potluck dinner at 6 p.m. on March 31. At 9 p.m. Safe and Fear-Free Environment encouraged every household in Bristol Bay to display a candle to signal the home is a safe home.

Fairbanks
The Fairbanks “Alaskans Choose Respect” rally took place at Golden Heart Plaza. The rally was attended by Lt. Governor Craig Campbell, local non-profits and Fairbanks residents.
Gakona
The Gakona “Alaskans Choose Respect” march took place at 5:30 p.m. on March 31. Residents gathered at the Gakona Lookout.
Juneau
The Juneau “Alaskans Choose Respect” march and rally commenced at noon on March 31. The march started on the steps of the Capitol. Governor Sean Parnell and First Lady Sandy Parnell led the march and rally.
Kenai
The Kenai "Alaskans Choose Respect" Awareness walk and rally commenced at 2 p.m. on March 31, at the Kenai Gazebo on Frontage Road, ended at the Kenai Visitor's Center.
Ketchikan
Women in Safe Homes planned an ‘Alaskans Choose Respect’ march that began at the UAS campus and concluded with a rally at the Plaza Mall.
Kodiak
Kodiak Women’s Resource and Crisis Center, along with many community partners led a march beginning at Kodiak High School that ended in a rally at the Sun’aq Bingo Hall.
Mat-Su Valley
Alaska Family Services, Inc. along with community partners -The Children’s Place, Alaska Department of Corrections, NOW, Alaska State Troopers, and local law enforcement led a march from the Palmer Fred Meyer store to a community rally at the Mat-Su Borough gym.
Sitka
Sitkans Against Family Violence, along with many community partners, led a march beginning at noon on March 31 in front of City Hall and ended with guest speakers and an open-mic rally at Crescent Harbor.

Unalaska
Unalaskans Against Family Violence in collaboration with local community partners hosted an Alaskans Choose Respect Community Potluck at the Unalaska Senior Center on March 31.
Valdez
Advocates for Victims of Violence, care providers, Valdez Convention and Visitor’s Bureau, the Valdez Police Department, students from Valdez High School and community members participated in an "Alaskans Choose Respect" march that started at noon on March 31 at the Eagle Quality Center.
